Following a fire, the house was renovated and converted into an apartment building with two apartments. The ceilings had to be upgraded in terms of fire protection and sound insulation, and a vertical escape route had to be constructed using timber.
In the run-up to the architectural contract for the restoration of the medieval building «Zum Gelbhorn» in the spa district of Baden, the canton of Aargau ordered a thorough archaeological investigation of the building. This revealed a history of over 400 years.

In the village center of Gretzenbach in the canton of Solothurn, a timber building with twelve apartments and a village store was built. The balconies cantilever over 3.5 meters - without any disruptive supports. An ingenious, suspended construction makes this possible.
