We support competition teams as sparring partners
In competitions and early project phases, we bring our experience and expertise to bear as an integral engineering partner. We are happy to support architectural firms and building owners as a sounding board for structural design concepts, as well as in the areas of fire protection and building physics—with an open mind regarding materials, a focus on solutions, and a holistic approach that integrates the various disciplines. We do this with a clear eye toward feasibility, cost, and quality. This results in robust concepts that leave room for creative freedom while steering projects in the right direction from the very beginning.

Wiesental School, East Building, Baar
2025The Wiesental School in Baar was adapted to today's requirements by means of a replacement building. The project, implemented using modern timber construction methods and featuring a mega timber framework, combines functionality and aesthetics.
Wohnüberbauung Du Lac, St. Moritz
Timbatec bringt Kompetenzen für Wohnbaukonzept im Engadin ein. BGP, Mierta und Kurt Lazzarini Architekten und Timbatec Holzbauingenieure Schweiz AG gewinnen das Planerwahlverfahren für das Wohnhaus Du Lac in St. Moritz.
Kindergarten Maria Gugging, Klosterneuburg
AnerkennungFür den Neubau des Kindergarten Maria Guggin wurd ein EU-weiter, offener, einstufiger Realisierungswettbewerb mit anschließendem Verhand- lungsverfahren für die Vergabe von Generalplanerleistungen ausgelobt. Timbatec hat Steinkogler Aigner Architekten ZT GmbH unterstützt.
Complexe scolaire et sportif, Champagne
2022With the King Kong project, fesselet krampulz architectes from Vevey won the competition for the Champagne school and sports facility in the canton of Vaud. The wooden building with a charred «Yakisugi» facade was able to convince the Jury.
Circular Tower, Burgdorf
2022, 1. RangWith the CircularTower project, circular construction is researched and made tangible in the form of a real laboratory. Companies, educational and research institutions as well as associations will occupy the future CircularTower together with TecLab.
School facility, Romont
2025, FinalistDeillon delley architectes have won the competition for the construction of a school, a double hall and a gymnasium in Romont. The project "Silva" by Atelierpulver Architectes in collaboration with Timbatec is among the finalists.
Here comes the sun, Bern
2019, 1. RangWhere waste was once incinerated on the outskirts of Bern, a new neighborhood is now being built. A timber construction wins the architectural competition for the U1 building site with 350 apartments.
Retirement apartments, Breitenegg, Kölliken
2018, 1. RangThe former mansion of the industrialist family Matter in Kölliken, Aargau, is being replaced. Together with k a t h r i n s i m m e n Architekten ETH SIA, Zurich, we win 1st prize in the study commission "Retirement apartments Areal Breitenegg".
EAST-WEST, Bern
2022, 3. RangThe former fire department barracks were built in 1935/36 by Hans Weiss and extended in 1957 by the same architect with a hall building. Until the fire department moved out at the end of 2014, the facility served the active fire department. The project East-West with two clever new buildings lead the fire department Victoria in old splendor into the future. The project won the 3rd place.
