Multipurpose hall Preisegg, Hasle bei Burgdorf

The multipurpose hall is located directly next to the Preisegg school complex, in a rural setting. Due to the good cooperation on the project "Eishalle Brünnli", the engineers C+S from Hasle and Timbatec from Thun were again commissioned.

The project
The walls of the hall as well as the annexes are made of solid construction. The roof structure of the barrel roof is made of wood. The main supporting structure of the roof consists of bent trusses. The upper and lower chords as well as the compression struts were made of wood, the tension diagonals of round steel with clevises.

The construction method
The substructure for gymnastics equipment suspension (rings, high bar, ropes, baskettball baskets) was mounted with steel girders between the main supporting structure. The hall can also be used for cultural purposes thanks to the installation of a stage.
