What seemed impossible for a long time is now a reality. Thun is the site of the first apartment building with a basement made entirely made of wood. Houses without heating and without air conditioning make an important contribution to climate protection. Wood is already widely used in building construction. The next step is to dispense with building materials that are harmful to the climate, such as steel and concrete - even in basements and floor slabs.
