1st place for Timbatec Timber Construction Engineers Switzerland Ltd

Together with k a t h r i n s i n m e n architects ETH SIA, Zurich, we won the 1st prize of the study contract "Retirement apartments Breitenegg area". Timbatec Timber Construction Engineers Switzerland Ltd is looking forward to an exciting project and an interesting cooperation with all participants.

The former royal villa of the industrial family Matter in the Kölliken, Switzerland has to be replaced. For the municipality of Kölliken, it was clear that the replacement building should be realized in wood. Timbatec Timber Construction Engineers Switzerland Ltd. were already part of the project team during the architectural competition. 

Between 2019 and 2022, a double wooden villa with 30 age-appropriate rental apartments will be built. The two buildings with Minergie-P standard will then accommodate pensioners. 

The new building consists of a combination of skeleton and frame construction in timber. This allows the advantages of each type of construction to be fully exploited.
