On Friday 19.10.2018, 106 Bachelor graduates were graduated at the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Biel. Around 700 visitors from business and education policy as well as relatives of the graduands attended the graduation ceremony to congratulate the graduates. Among the diploma students were four engineers who had completed their one-year internship with Timbatec engineers.

Timbatec engineers are especially proud of Johann Maître. His thesis entitled: "Face bonding of cross-laminated timber: development and analysis of methods for strengthening bonded joints", was chosen as the most innovative bachelor thesis of 2018.

The aim of the thesis was to improve the ultimate strength of TS3 technology with face bonding of wood, which is used to develop plane load-bearing ceiling systems so that the use of joists can be eliminated.

Timbatec engineers are particularly pleased that Johann Maître and Stefan Vogt, two newly graduated engineers, have joined the team. We are looking forward to a good cooperation.
